The U.S. is down to 18 players for this friendly game on Wednesday with Germany. The Germans have said Huth, Deisler, Torsten Frings and Mike Hanke are also not playing.
For the U.S., Dempsey and Donovan are out, as is Hejduk. On the bright side, it's a chance for Twellman to cement a spot in the team and to see some new faces.
