Bruce's refereeing nemesis

The San Diego Union-Tribune digs a little bit more into the referee selection for the World Cup. Does anyone else get the feeling this guy will be assigned to a U.S. match?

But then you look at the list, which does not include Kevin Stott, the only American among the original 44, and which does include Jamaica's Peter Prendergast.

...

But his most infamous call came in the 2002 World Cup, when he nullified (incorrectly, according to most observers) a goal by Marc Wilmots that would have given Belgium a 1-0 lead against Brazil, which ultimately won 2-0.
